For further details, please visit the “Tales” page at NobleDead.org. While you are there, have a look at previous “Tales” in the other collections. And now to answer the obvious question…

Why is Puppy Love only available through Kindle/Amazon?

We are making a first test of one vendor-specific promotional system. J.C. has researched several, though they are few, and behind the hype there is little truth in any claims of supposed long-term success in the majority. Still, this is a necessary experiment. There are three connecting influences that have forced us in this direction:

  • the e-self-publishing boom,
  • the social systems user boom, and
  • the social systems advertising boom.

Each produces rapid growth in its noise-to-signal ratio in conjunction with the other two. This has caused dwindling returns for promotions by those in business and overwhelming static in the ears (and eyes) of potential customers. Even major publishers are lost for promoting new books.

We need “Tales” to pay for themselves or at least the time we take out of our personal lives around working on novels. The last frontier for promoting a new work of fiction is directly through major vendors, though the potential is limited.

Bear with us in this experiment if you are not a Kindle user. Puppy Love will come available to you in 90 days. That is the minimum term of commitment in Amazon’s KDP Select program. We will stick to that and not leave out our readers connected to other vendors any longer than necessary.

  1. I was wondering why I couldn't find it on B&N's website! Now it all makes sense! I shall patiently await its release over there. :)
